The Town of Ignacio is a council-manager style of government. Our Town Board is made up of six Trustees and a Mayor. All seven members are elected individuals residing within Town Limits.

Meeting Information

Regular Town Board Meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. on the 2nd Monday of every month.  All the Board Meetings are held in the Abel F. Atencio Municipal Complex at 570 Goddard Avenue.  The agenda shows how you can attend remotely, if you do not wish to attend in person.

Staff reports will be presented at these meetings.

The Town Board follows Bob's Rules of Order to maintain the structure and flow of meetings. A copy of Bob's Rules of Order is available at Town Hall for review during regular business hours.  If someone wishes to purchase a copy of Bob's Rules of Order, please visit the CML Online Store.  

We encourage public participation in all our Board Meetings. From time to time there will be a need for a closed session for negotiations or similar. These will be noticed on the agendas per Colorado State Law and no actions (voting) can take place during these sessions. Any voting or other action must be done outside of the closed session.
